Jim Batstone has lived in Arizona since 1963. Jim grew up in Tucson and relocated his family to Phoenix in 1985. He and his wife Kathy have two grown daughters. His oldest daughter and her husband have blessed the family with 2 Grandchildren.

Jim has been in the Mortgage business since 1979. He started as a Loan Officer and served as a Branch Manager and Regional Manager for First Gibraltar Mortgage Corporation of Dallas, Texas. In 1988, Jim and his wife Kathy founded Interlink Mortgage Corporation in Phoenix. Interlink Mortgage was considered one of the top Mortgage Brokers in Arizona during the 19 years of its existence. In November of 2007 Jim merged Interlink Mortgage, and its 14 employees, into Suburban Mortgage, Inc. This merger combined one of Arizona’s top Mortgage Brokers with one of the largest, privately held, Mortgage Banker’s in Arizona providing even greater strength, lending programs and Real Estate solutions.
 
Because of his extensive industry knowledge, Jim has a distinctive edge when it comes to navigating through the maze of loan program selection, file documentation, loan underwriting and closing. Local realtors, builders and past customers respect his knowledge and level of service by entrusting their clients, friends, and relatives to him.

Jim has a long list of civic and volunteer credentials. He served on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Mortgage Lenders Association, is the Past President, and currently on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Business Alliance, a business networking group in Phoenix and has served on the Board of White Mountain Country Club in Pinetop, AZ.

In his spare time, Jim enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, entertaining, food & wine and traveling.
